Description
Die Hard: Nakatomi Plaza is a FPS developed by Piranha Games. Initially built using a modified Build engine, the game later transitioned to the GoldSrc engine, and eventually to the Lithtech engine, the same technology behind No One Lives Forever.
The gameplay closely follows the events of the original Die Hard movie, placing players in the role of John McClane as he battles to prevent a terrorist takeover of Nakatomi Plaza. The game’s levels mirror the movie’s iconic settings, and many action-packed moments from the film are faithfully recreated.
In addition to the plot of the film, the game introduces new missions not seen in the movie, such as guiding a SWAT team through the building and rescuing hostages on multiple floors.
Die Hard: Nakatomi Plaza features traditional first-person shooter mechanics, offering five types of firearms alongside unique items like a Zippo lighter and a Motorola radio, which are used to complete various objectives.

This installer includes the full game, along with numerous fixes to ensure compatibility with recent systems, as well as the Die Hard Improved Edition mod.
- Download the small executable, launch it, and follow the instructions. This installer will then download the necessary files for the game and proceed with the installation.
- If you choose to install Die Hard Improved Edition mod and later wish to return to the original game, go to the game directory, then to the "backup" folder, and copy the two files there into the parent directory.
- If the game does not launch in full screen, click on the game icon on the task bar, then press Alt Enter.
