Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (Master Collection Version)

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is an action-adventure and stealth game originally released in 2008 for the PlayStation 3. It was re-released in 2026 for virtually all major platforms, including PC, as part of Master Collection Volume 2.

It is a direct narrative sequel to Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, taking place five years after the events of the game. The story follows a rapidly aging Solid Snake, now known as Old Snake, as he embarks on one final mission to assassinate Liquid Ocelot, the body of Revolver Ocelot inhabited by Liquid Snake, before he can take control of the Sons of the Patriots, an A.I. system that regulates the activities of PMCs around the world.
