Dishonored

Dishonored is a 2012 action-adventure title created by Arkane Studios and released by Bethesda Softworks. The game takes place in Dunwall, a fictional industrial city struggling with a devastating plague. Players take the role of Corvo Attano, the Empress of the Isles' personal bodyguard. After being falsely accused of her assassination, Corvo is pushed into the role of an assassin as he sets out to uncover the conspiracy behind her death and take revenge on those responsible.

Often described as an "immersive sim", Dishonored combines elements of action-adventure, action RPGs, first-person shooters, and stealth games. Rather than simply labeling the player's choices as good or evil, the game uses a "chaos" system that responds to the player's behavior, including violence, civilian deaths, and friendly fire. The level of chaos can alter parts of the world and influence the story, while still allowing players to approach missions in very different ways without forcing them into a particular playstyle.
